Mel White

During his professional career Mel White not only taught golf at country clubs but also taught for the Vancouver School Board, the West Vancouver School Board, Seycove Community Centre and was the Head Instructor at the Masters Golf Camp in Whistler from 1993-1994.

Mel also taught at the Park Royal Golf Centre in West Vancouver from 1993 until 2002 when he joined the teaching staff at TAKaya Golf Centre.

• Director and President of the PGA of BC in 1971, 1972 and 1992

• Low Pro at the Ogopogo Open at Kelowna Golf Club in 1951

• Winner of the Chilliwack Open in 1969

• Played in the British Open Qualifyng Round in 1981

• PGA of BC Seniors Champion in 1982

• Honorary Life Member of Seymour Golf & Country Club since 1992
